India- Pakistan have agreed to an immediate ceasefire along their shared border. This development comes after a series of military escalations between the two nations, with the agreement facilitated by the US.
Key Points of the ceasefire Agreement:
Immediate Effect: The Ceasefire took effect at 5 PM on 10th may, 2025 with both sides agreeing to stop all firing and military action from Sea, land and air.
Direct Communication: The agreement was reached through direct communication b/t the DGMOs of both countries, with Pakistan’s DGMO initiating the call.
Future Talks: While there are no immediate plans for talks on other issues, the DGMOs are scheduled to speak again on 12 may to discuss further arrangements
